Naturally air dried firewood logs
As tree surgery and arboriculture is the primary service of our business, our main bi-product is green timber in the form of arb-waste. All hardwood and softwood timber removed from site is re-cycled by us and processed into firewood logs, unless the timber is of high value and can be milled into slabs for wood working, furniture making or building construction.
Our firewood logs are naturally air dried in poly tunnels and IBC cages. We do not Kiln dry our logs. Often firewood suppliers buy in green freshly cut timber from abroad, dry it in kilns fuelled by wood chip, and sell straight away. This is not a sustainable or environmentally kind way of seasoning and drying firewood. You are effectively burning wood to dry wood to then burn it as a source of fuel to heat your property – not very efficient!
