Tree Felling
Tree felling is the reduction of trees to ground level, leaving the tree stump at approximately 100mm high.
This is done, from the ground, by a qualified chainsaw operator and the tree comes down in one piece.
If a tree needs removed completely due to damage, disease, or is dying, and there is sufficient space, this is often the most cost efficient option.

Sectional Felling
When tree felling is not possible (due to lack of space, ground condition or nearby obstacles) the safest option is to climb, rig and dismantle the tree in sections.
Once felled or dismantled, the tree can be removed completely, or it can be processed on site to be used for firewood. Please visit our firewood log page for more details.
Tree Pruning
Customers often require pruning to increase sunlight in their garden, however, it is also important for maximising the lifespan of the tree and to improve the tree aesthetic.
Pruning options include:
- Crown Reductions – this is reducing the overall size of a tree.
- Crown Raising – this is the removal of low hanging branches.
- Crown Thinning – this is reducing the density of the crown.
- Apple and Fruit tree restorations – this is to maximise life span and yield of the tree.
- Deadwooding – this is the removal of diseased sections and dangerous limbs.

Tree pollarding
Tree pollarding is a pruning system that involves removing the upper branches of a tree.
This may be done to encourage new growth, keep trees at a desired height or to stop trees from casting unwanted shade.
This is ideally carried out in late Autumn/Winter, however, not all species can be reduced in this way so please get in touch for advice.
Site Clearance
New commercial or domestic development often require complete site clearance to allow commencement.
This can involve tree felling, sectional dismantling, stump grinding and scrub and vegetation clearance, with all waste removed from site.
