Specialist Stump Grinding
After a tree is felled or dismantled, a stump and root plate are left in the ground. Customers may want to remove the stump completely for several reasons: Re-planting can be done more quickly and easily, building work in the vicinity or over the existing stump area can be carried out and often a stump left after a tree removal is rather unsightly.
Leaving a stump can result in diseases such as honey fungus and fungi, so it’s important that they are dealt with. The arising wood shavings from grinding can also help give the soil added nutrients for future re-planting or nearby flower beds.
Stump grinding is often the most efficient way of removing a stump, especially in hard to access areas. We have a range of machines to cater for this. Stumps can be ground out up to 400mm below ground level.
